india does not figure any wher be cos……one indian kids are malnourished..and the one who eat ….eat too much so they are fat and un healthy ..and if how ever they are in perfect health then they are not aware of the opportunities available be cause of lack of information and education…how ever if they do manage to over come that then they are probably given a step motherly treatment due to the politics in various fieldss of sport……and if they do how ever reach some whre in the sports arena then the media glorifies them so much that they end up partyin havin fun and loose the objective ……….so moral of the story…..if u got time to read this crap then ur one of those time pass guys who just sit and fxxx on the net and dont do any thing tochange . things………..get a life ..go take a kid help him win a gold medal…….))

how could 600 milion be ruled by a handful.

how could a billion win One gold Ever in 60 years of Olympics.

India is third world Nation. will always be.

doordarshan’s tv coverage is far worse than the athletes, and is a big reason why sports are not loved in india. the announcers don’t know the sport, are horrible talkers about nothing, and make the drama of sport simply disappear. one of the great global sports events ever, and doordarshan simply has no clue. embarrassing.

Whenever olympics arrive Cricket becomes the punchbagfor everyone and tht is supposed to hidde the way remaining sports are managed in thiis country

Let Me tell you Abhinav Bindra has won Gold Medal in Beijing Olympics a year after doctor had advised him to quit this sport due to back problem

India is good at cricket sadly its no longer an olympic sport but had it been we wud have got some medas to show tht

as for the athletes they deserve lot more credit and appreciation than they get

Yes we fail at world stage but even a while back china was also coming back empty handed from olympics but there structure changed it

Its time to develop infrastructure for sports to survive and flourish and not blame cricket

It’s not that India doesn’t have the money: The organization in charge of Indian cricket is the highest paid SPORTS ORGANIZATION in the WORLD. And still, India is not the No. 1 nation in cricket.

You know, actually at least we’re like number 2 or something in ONE sport, cricket, and not average in a bunch of them, winning bronze medals in the Olympics. I’d rather cheer the Indian cricket team on during the T20 finals and watch them win rather than sit and wonder whether we will or wont win anything in the Olympics!
About corruption, well, nothing can be said about it that hasn’t already been said before!
