Hahaha,Dear Friends,no more guesses from this point now.Genda phool as it is called is a chhattisgarhi folk song from a very humble land of Central India with aroma of fertility also known as Bowl of Rice,The word Raipur in the song is actually capital of newly formed state Chhattisgarh.I can tell you this because I have heard this song from elders .It is already being famous hear since ages.

Well,now Genda Phool is already song of India,so let Enjoy !!!!

Genda phool is not a rajasthani folk at all. The use of words like ” saiyaa , raipur ,bushat(shirt in north India) , khaike ” associate it with north india specially region like U.P, Bihar and M.P. i don’t know why it is even considered as Rajasthani as they use generally “thara”,” mara” for you and me.
Anyway a nice song and music is superb

Delhi 6 is momentous for both Abhishek Bachchan, and Sonam Kapoor, because this is Abhishek’s first solo film after the disastrous Drona and this is Sonam’s first film since Saawariya, which came out in 2007.

Genda phool seems more from Central India than Rajasthan … The start, usage of ‘oye hoye hoye’ and ofcourse the city of ‘Raipur’ do not seem to suggest Rajasthan as the origin of this folk song.

yes dili6 music is rocking, its the ultimate album of 2009,
I want to make a correction here, that the songs “Genda Phool” is a folk song from Uttar Pradesh (mainly Banaras area) and not from any other state. Being a resisdent of Banaras I know a lot about this style of singing.

Delhi 6 music is excellent…blockbuster music….too good……

@ newsdose….

Ghajini & yuvraaj music is also good one….off course delhi 6 music is better than ghajini,yuvraaj….

Now the song Hey Kalabandar includes some vocals from song “dil ka rishta” (Yuvraaj) & “shano shanoo”(Yuvraaj?).

Also Title song Delhi 6 is a slowdown version of Aye Bacchu from Ghajini…

You didn’t like aye bacchu ,dil ka rishta,shanno shanno…..How do yo like hey kala bandar & Delhi music now?

Rahman got the golden globe & he will get Oscar for sure.
Delhi 6 music is excellent…..So you gave good review for Delhi 6…..But you gave biased reviews for Ghajini & Yuvraaj music…..
