Chandigarh, July 11,2025,UPDATED:2.40PM
The ongoing Ninth Session of the 16th Punjab Vidhan Sabha has been extended by two additional days and will now conclude on July 15, 2025, instead of the originally scheduled date of July 11.

The decision to extend the session was formalised after Dr. Ravjot Singh, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, tabled the report of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) in the House today. The Committee’s recommendation to extend the session was subsequently adopted by the Assembly.

It may be recalled that the monsoon session of the Punjab Legislative Assembly had initially been scheduled for July 10 and 11, 2025. However, in view of the important legislative business and discussions pending before the House, the session has now been extended to include July 14 and 15 as sitting days. The extension aims to provide adequate time for deliberations on key issues concerning the state, legislative proposals, and matters of public interest.
