Chandigarh:  In a significant breakthrough under Haryana Police’s ongoing crackdown on organised crime, the STF Palwal unit has arrested notorious criminal Rahul alias Dhaulu—a ₹5,000 rewardee and resident of Nuh district—from Manali, Kullu (Himachal Pradesh). The wanted accused, believed to be involved in several grave offences across Haryana and the Delhi–NCR region, was traced and nabbed following precise intelligence inputs and technical surveillance.

Rahul was wanted in FIR No. 151 dated August 17, 2025, registered at PS Sadar Nuh / PS Rozka Meo, for which the Haryana Police had announced a monetary reward. STF teams, acting swiftly on real-time inputs, apprehended him from a rented accommodation in Manali, where he had been hiding to evade arrest.

A Long Trail of Serious Crimes

Rahul’s criminal past spans more than a decade, with police records showing involvement in at least seven major cases, including robbery, sexual assault, kidnapping, attempt to murder and criminal intimidation.
• In 2014, a case of sexual offence and kidnapping was registered at PS Sadar Nuh.
• In 2020, he was booked under Section 395 (robbery) at Sadar Sohna, Gurugram.
• In 2021, PS DLF Phase-1, Gurugram registered a case under Section 160 IPC against him.

• He was also declared a Proclaimed Offender by a Gurugram court in the Sadar Sohna case.

Following his arrest, Rahul has been handed over to the police staff of Gurugram for further legal action.
