Chandigarh: Bhagwant Mann on Monday shared how his belief in manifestation inspired him to envision a future as Chief Minister, encouraging students to believe in their dreams and stay hopeful about their potential.
Sharing the anecdote while giving a message to the younger generation, Mann said he would visit the CM’s residence at different times and even speak to the security guards, telling them to keep the house neat and clean, as he envisioned himself living there soon. He emphasised that practising visualisation and positive beliefs can help turn dreams into reality, encouraging students to adopt similar manifestation techniques in their own lives.
Recalling his student days, Mann said he had once attended a lecture by IPS officer M.F. Farooqui, who spoke about envisioning his journey from riding a bicycle to becoming a senior officer. “I imbibed that idea of manifestation,” Mann said.
Encouraging students to pursue their ambitions, the Chief Minister highlighted the state government’s Business Blaster programme, which equips students of Classes XI and XII, as well as those in colleges, universities and ITIs, with entrepreneurship skills and seed funding of ₹ 2,000 to help them develop innovative products and build confidence in their ability to succeed.
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said the initiative has already shown significant results, with students developing prototypes that are attracting industrial interest. “Students have collectively earned around ₹70 crore through this programme. They are building drones, anti-drone systems, e-bikes, and even stubble management solutions,” he said. Bains added that the programme has been made compulsory for students from Class XI onwards, to turn them into job creators rather than job seekers
