Panchkula/ Chandigarh: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will review the passing-out parade of 5,061 newly trained Haryana Police constables at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula on Wednesday, giving the event national significance. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, senior police and administrative officers, and other dignitaries will also attend the ceremony.

The recruits, trained at multiple police training centres across the state over nine months, will formally join the force after completing an intensive programme covering physical fitness, legal studies, weapon handling, disaster management, human rights and citizen-oriented policing.

The batch stands out for its strong academic profile, with 969 postgraduates, 3,324 graduates and 768 candidates with 10+2 or diploma qualifications. Officials said the high educational background and multilingual skills of the recruits will strengthen public engagement, cybercrime handling and technology-driven policing.

Women constables also made a strong mark, with Nishu from Jind topping the batch, followed by Mohit from Gurugram and Manjeet Chahal from Hisar, who also won the Best Outdoor Trophy. Following the parade, the constables will be deployed across Haryana, with the police leadership expressing confidence that their induction will further reinforce public trust through professional, sensitive and accountable policing.
