Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the worst flood-affected districts of Gurdaspur and Pathankot on Wednesday, assuring residents of immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation. In a symbolic gesture, Mann left behind his official helicopter in Gurdaspur to aid rescue and relief operations.

The CM interacted with residents, urging them to stay strong in the face of adversity. “Natural disasters are beyond anyone’s control, but our government will not let anyone suffer alone. Every life is precious, and the Punjab government’s helicopter will remain on standby round the clock to assist people in need,” he said.

Mann further assured compensation for all losses in accordance with government policy. “We will compensate for every loss as promised. The situation will stabilise soon, and the government stands firmly with the people in this hour of crisis,” he said.
