NEW DELHI: After the span of three years smartphone maker Gionee has launched a new phone under its S-series of smartphone. The company launched the last S-series phone in 2017 and now the company has launched Gionee S12 Lite. Gionee has not yet revealed the price and availability details of the smartphone. Gionee S12 Lite sports an HD+ display and it runs Android 10 operating system.

Gionee S12 Lite is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio A25 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further by adding a microSD card. The handset features a 6.52-inch HD+ display with 720×1600 pixel resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio.
Gionee S12 Lite runs Android 10 operating system and comes with dual-SIM functionality. The smartphone comes equipped with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and sports a triple rear camera setup. The rear camera of the smartphone consists of 13MP main sensor 5MP fixed focus ultra-wide angle lens and 2MP depth sensor. The front is home to an 8MP selfie shooter. Both the cameras are capable of recording HD videos.
The Gionee S12 Lite is backed by a 4000mAh battery and it offers LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options. Customers will be able to purchase the smartphone in Blue and Gray colour options.
Recently, Gionee launched its entry level smartphone — Gionee Max in India. Priced at Rs 5,999, the smartphone is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Unisoc SC9863A processor with IMG8322 GPU. Gionee Max packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 256GB by adding a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 10 operating system and offers dual SIM support.
