Chandigarh : Abhay Singh, popularly known as “IITian Baba” after gaining widespread attention during the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, has entered a new phase of life with his recent marriage, drawing fresh public curiosity during his visit to his native town Jhajjar along with his wife, Preetika.

The couple arrived in Jhajjar to complete certain bank-related formalities, but the visit soon turned into a public spectacle. As news of his presence spread, locals gathered in large numbers outside the court complex, eager to meet him, interact briefly, and capture moments through photographs and selfies.

During the visit, Abhay spent time at the chamber of his father, who is a practising advocate at the local court. However, his father was not present at the time. Despite this, the visit carried emotional and symbolic significance, marking a rare return to his roots after his transformation into a spiritual figure.

Speaking briefly to mediapersons, Abhay introduced his wife Preetika as a resident of Karnataka and said the two are aligned in their life’s purpose. He described their partnership as one driven by a shared vision that blends spiritual pursuit with broader social goals.

On the question of reconnecting with his family, Abhay maintained a measured stance. He said he would certainly meet his parents, but added that individuals committed to a larger purpose often have to maintain some distance from immediate familial ties in order to stay focused on their path.

Outlining his future plans, Abhay revealed that he is working on establishing “Shri University,” an ambitious initiative aimed at combining conventional education with spiritual learning. He said the institution would focus on imparting various forms of sadhana alongside academic knowledge, with an emphasis on clarity of vision and holistic development.

Currently residing in Himachal Pradesh, Abhay said he continues to pursue his spiritual journey away from worldly distractions, even as his evolving life choices continue to attract public attention and curiosity.
