New Delhi: India’s largest airline IndiGo on Friday cancelled all its domestic flights departing from the Delhi airport till midnight, as the carrier continues to battle severe operational disruptions for the third consecutive day.
Confirming the development, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said all other airlines were operating normally and only IndiGo services were impacted. “IndiGo domestic flights departing from Delhi Airport on 5th December 2025 are cancelled till midnight today (till 23:59 hours),” DIAL said in a passenger advisory issued on social media.
DIAL added that its dedicated on-ground teams are working closely with all stakeholders to manage the disruption and ensure minimal inconvenience to passengers. In an official statement, IndiGo acknowledged the cancellations and said all its domestic flights departing from Delhi airport (DEL) stood cancelled till 11.59 pm on Friday.
“We express our profound apologies to all our valued customers and stakeholders who have been significantly impacted by these unforeseen events,” the airline said. Meanwhile, the operational crisis widened further as IndiGo also cancelled all its departing flights from Chennai airport till 6 pm on Friday, according to aviation sources. The mass cancellations come amid mounting concerns over crew shortages, scheduling issues and regulatory scrutiny, leaving thousands of passengers stranded across major airports.
