JSW Group Initiative to Indigenously Manufacture Tactical Mobility Platforms for Defence
Chandigarh: JSW Sarbloh Motors, a subsidiary of JSW Defence Private Limited and part of the JSW Group, today announced a strategic joint venture with Tomcar USA, a globally respected manufacturer of high-performance all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). The partnership will focus on the indigenous production of the Tomcar TX range in India, marking a significant step towards strengthening the country’s tactical mobility ecosystem.
This collaboration is aligned with India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing. It will cater to the Indian Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), State Police units, as well as critical industrial sectors requiring ultra-durable off-road mobility platforms.
Under the joint venture, JSW Sarbloh Motors will indigenize, manufacture, assemble, and provide lifecycle support for the Tomcar TX range at its Chandigarh facility. The first India-assembled TX vehicles are expected to roll out by early 2026, with field trials and demonstrations scheduled for defence and paramilitary agencies in the coming months.
