Microsoft confirms Outlook, Office 365 services down for some users in India

NEW DELHI: If you are unable to use your office Outlook email address on both the app and web then note that Microsoft has confirmed that there is an outage. Microsoft has announced that they identified the issue and is working on a fix. Meanwhile, users in India and other parts of the world can expect delayed emails or a complete service blackout.
Several employees across multiple sectors in India took to Twitter to share that they were unable to access Microsoft’s services.
“We’ve collected additional data from the affected infrastructures to determine impact to our Exchange online protocols. Additionally, we’ve identified this issue to be affecting users worldwide. Further details can be found in your admin center under EX223208,” Microsoft said on Twitter.
The company also confirmed, “We’ve received reports of users experiencing issues accessing their Exchange Online accounts via Outlook on the Web. Our initial investigation indicates that India-based users are the primarily impacted audience. Further details can be found in your admin center under EX223208.”

Microsoft 365 has been facing issues for the last couple of days. While the company is in the process of restoring services, users are still not able to get reliable access to Outlook.com, Office.com, Power Platform, Dynamics365 and Microsoft Teams.
As per DownDetector, the website that tracks service outages of popular platforms, users in India started to report issues in accessing Outlook from 10AM on October 1. Most people are complaining that they are unable to login to services.
“We’re reviewing recent changes to our service to further determine the cause of impact. Users may experience problems with various Exchange Online protocols including Outlook desktop, mobile devices as well as those dependent on REST functionality,” added Microsoft.
