Global Ground Work Ahead of Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026

Chandigarh:In a major push to attract global investment and deepen international industrial partnerships, a high-level delegation of the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann will undertake an official outreach visit to Japan and South Korea in the first week of December. The mission forms a key part of the government’s global engagement strategy ahead of the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit, scheduled to be held from March 13 to 15, 2026, at the ISB campus in Mohali.

The delegation will include Industries & Commerce, Investment Promotion, Power and NRI Affairs Minister S. Sanjeev Arora, senior state government अधिकारियों and the Invest Punjab leadership team. The visit will cover Tokyo (December 2–3), Osaka (December 4–5), and Seoul (December 8–9), with a packed agenda of roadshows, policy presentations and one-to-one meetings with leading global corporations.

The outreach programme is being organised in close coordination with the Indian Embassies in Japan and South Korea, the Ministry of External Affairs, DPIIT’s Invest India, and with strong facilitation from the Embassies of Japan and South Korea in New Delhi. Their institutional partnership has played a vital role in shaping Punjab’s high-impact global investor interface.

Punjab to Project Itself as North India’s Preferred Investment Hub

During the visit, the Punjab delegation will showcase the state as North India’s preferred investment destination, underlining its strategic location with seamless connectivity to NCR and major ports, Strong industrial and manufacturing clusters, Uninterrupted quality power supply, Large and skilled workforce, Progressive and investor-friendly policy ecosystem

The delegation will also present Punjab’s landmark governance and regulatory reforms, including- FastTrack Punjab Single-Window System with over 173 G2B services, Auto-deemed approvals, PAN-based business identity and amendments to the Punjab Right to Business Act ensuring time-bound in-principle approvals

Invest Punjab will further highlight the state’s rapidly expanding industrial infrastructure, including plug-and-play industrial parks and the upcoming Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) at Rajpura, while underlining that over ₹1.4 lakh crore worth of on-ground investments have already been facilitated in recent years.

CM Mann: Policy Stability, Speed and Partnership at Core of Punjab’s Growth Strategy

Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said the government’s vision was “simple and absolutely clear — to make Punjab a preferred destination for global industry by offering policy stability, speed in decision-making and governance that respects the time and trust of investors.”

He said Punjab’s development strategy is rooted in active government–industry partnership, where the state acts as an enabler of growth rather than a regulator.
“Our New Industrial Policy of 2022 was framed after deep consultation with industry leaders so that it truly reflects their needs and aspirations,” the Chief Minister said, adding that the government has now constituted 24 sectoral committees chaired by leading industry captains to shape sector-specific policies.

Target Sectors and Global Engagement

Through a series of roadshows, business delegations and corporate interactions, the Punjab Government aims to attract Japanese and South Korean investment across a wide range of sunrise and core sectors, including: Mobility and auto components, Electronics and ESDM, Semiconductors, Food processing, Chemicals, Green energy, IT and advanced manufacturing and Textiles.

These engagements are expected to pave the way for joint ventures, technology transfer, supply-chain integration and research-driven collaboration.The delegation will also engage with the Indian diaspora in Tokyo, Osaka and Seoul to strengthen cultural, economic and community linkages.

Pre-Summit Momentum Already Built

As part of its pre-summit outreach, Punjab has already conducted several international and domestic investment engagements, including: Japan–Punjab Investment Roundtable, GCC Roundtable and CIS Roundtable in New Delhi

Domestically, roadshows have been successfully organised in Gurugram, Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, bringing strong participation from large corporates, MSMEs and sectoral industry bodies.

Industries Minister Sanjeev Arora said the mission would “strengthen aftercare for existing foreign investors, forge new economic relationships and further brand Punjab as a region of international trade.”

Chief Minister Mann added that “such global connections will help share Punjab’s success stories and long-term vision as we invite investors to become partners in Punjab’s growth journey leading up to 2035.”

Global Visibility Push for Summit 2026

With this mission, the Punjab Government aims to significantly enhance the state’s international visibility, expand industrial partnerships and encourage Japanese and South Korean corporations to participate as partner countries, exhibitors and knowledge partners at the Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit 2026. Invest Punjab expressed confidence that the outreach will play a decisive role in bringing in high-quality, long-term foreign investments and deepening Punjab’s role in global manufacturing and innovation networks.
