WhatsApp has rolled out a new call button for business chats for Android beta users, suggests a report by WABetaInfo, the online channel that tracks the changes and upcoming features of the instant messaging app.
As per the report, WhatsApp has submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 184.108.40.206.
In this update, the Facebook-owned app has reportedly rolled out a new call button for business chats that has merged the voice and video call buttons under a single place.
“Note again that this feature is available in business chats, because there was the need to add the catalogue shortcut,” said the report.
Back in July, the company also updated the WhatsApp Business app with features like QR codes support, Catalog sharing and ‘Open for Business’ sticker pack.
The QR support for the WhatsApp Business app allows people the option to contact the businesses easily. With the new feature, people are able to scan QR codes of a business to save its contacts details.
The Catalog sharing feature enables business owners to showcase and share the goods or services they offer as they have the option to link catalogues and individual items available that can be shared on websites, Facebook, Instagram and elsewhere.
As for the stickers, the pack of ‘Open for Business’ sticker pack includes stickers that say ‘out of stock’, ‘sale’, ‘closing soon’, ’sorry, closed’ ‘address please’, ‘free delivery’, ‘back in stock’, among others to make it easier for companies to be able to communicate with potential customers.
