New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday hailed India’s youth as the driving force behind the country’s rapid emergence as a global leader in artificial intelligence, saying their innovation and technological vision had earned widespread international recognition at the recently concluded AI Summit in New Delhi.

Taking to the social media platform X, the Prime Minister said the global praise received at the summit underscored the transformative potential of India’s young innovators.

“At the historic AI Summit held in Delhi, the entire world strongly praised India’s capabilities. This shows that our young people’s vision regarding technology is going to be highly beneficial for all of humanity,” Modi said.

He emphasised that India’s youth are not just adapting to emerging technologies but actively shaping the future of artificial intelligence through innovation, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge research.

New Delhi Declaration Endorsed by 89 Countries Marks Major Global Consensus

The India AI Impact Summit 2026 concluded with the adoption of the landmark New Delhi Declaration on AI Impact, a major step toward strengthening international cooperation in artificial intelligence.

The declaration was endorsed by 89 countries and international organisations, including major global powers such as the United States, China, France, Russia, Australia, Brazil, and Singapore. The agreement reflects a broad international consensus on harnessing AI for economic growth, social development, and responsible innovation.

The five-day summit witnessed unprecedented participation, bringing together 20 Heads of Government, 59 ministerial-level delegates, and official representatives from 118 countries. The event also featured more than 100 global AI industry leaders, CEOs, and CXOs, as well as over 500 top AI experts from across the world.

India Emerges as Key Global Hub for AI Innovation

The summit marked a defining moment in India’s technological journey, reinforcing its position as a leading hub for AI innovation and policy leadership, particularly among emerging economies.
