Round-the-clock arrangements to ensure a smooth three-day commemoration from Nov 23 – 25
Anandpur: The holy city is fully prepared to host lakhs of devotees arriving for the historic 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, Punjab ministers announced on Thursday. Education and Information & Public Relations Minister Harjot Singh Bains, along with Tourism and Cultural Affairs Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond, said that the state government has made “meticulous and round-the-clock” arrangements to ensure a smooth three-day commemoration from November 23 to 25.
Honouring the Legacy of Guru Tegh Bahadur
The life of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, revered worldwide as a martyr for religious freedom and human rights, continues to inspire humanity with his message of sacrifice, courage, and compassion. Families across Punjab and abroad have been encouraged to participate in the commemorative events. Earlier, ministers Bains and Sond, along with MP Malvinder Singh Kang, received Nagar Kirtans arriving from Talwandi Sabo and Faridkot at Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Three Days of Historic Ceremonies and Cultural Events
November 23

Sri Akhand Path Sahib begins at 10 a.m. at Gurdwara Sahib near Baba Budha Dal Chaunni in the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann.

Exhibition on Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s life inaugurated at Virasat-e-Khalsa at 11 a.m.

Sarb Dharam Sammelan at noon at the main pandal.

Guided heritage tours at 3 p.m.

Drone show at 5 p.m. at Virasat-e-Khalsa.

Katha and Kirtan Darbar at 6 p.m.
November 24
-
Sees Bhet Nagar Kirtan from Kiratpur Sahib to Sri Anandpur Sahib at 8 a.m.

Heritage Walk at 10 a.m.

Kaav uchcharan, dhadhi vaar, and kavi sessions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Special Session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha dedicated to Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at 1 p.m. at Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial.

Gatka and martial arts at Charan Ganga Stadium at 2 p.m.

Drone show at 5 p.m., followed by Kirtan Darbar at 6 p.m.
November 25

Bhog of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at 10 a.m.

State-level blood donation and tree plantation drive at 11 a.m.

“Sarbat Da Bhala” congregation at noon with prominent dignitaries.

Grand concluding drone show at 5 p.m. (daily shows continue till November 29).
Massive Infrastructure, Transport and Security Arrangements in Place
To handle the massive footfall, the Punjab Government has arranged:

500 e-rickshaws, 150 mini-buses, 25 Urbania vans, 15 cars, 20 Tata Ace logistics vehicles, and 10 golf carts for elderly and specially-abled devotees.

Shuttle services connecting parking zones with Gurdwara Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Virasat-e-Khalsa, tent cities, and main pandal.

Full CCTV surveillance, lighting, barricading, signage, traffic marshals, and mobile toilets across all parking sites.

Two tent cities with accommodation for nearly 10,000 devotees.

24×7 medical facilities with fully equipped ambulances.

Deployment of over 8,000 police personnel under senior officers for crowd management and safety.
Officials said the arrangements have been centrally integrated and will be monitored continuously through a dedicated control centre.
