As India launched retaliatory airstrikes on eight Pakistani military targets early Saturday, satellite imagery has revealed potential damage to the Mushaf (Sargodha) Air Base in Pakistan. Intelligence analyst Damien Symon shared LANDSAT images suggesting runway impairment at the key Pakistani facility following Indian Air Force strikes.

The airstrikes came in response to Pakistan’s coordinated attacks on Indian Air Force installations — including Udhampur, Pathankot, Bhuj, and Adampur — and civilian infrastructure at Srinagar and Awantipora air bases. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that India’s response was precise and limited to military targets.

Pakistan had initiated a barrage of assaults using drones, loitering munitions, and high-speed missiles under “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” targeting 26 Indian military and civilian sites. The Indian military swiftly neutralised the offensive with targeted operations across key Pakistani airbases and urban centres.

In a press briefing, Col. Sophia Qureshi confirmed limited damage to IAF infrastructure but condemned Pakistan’s strikes on non-military facilities such as medical centres and schools. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said his country would consider halting further action if India did the same, amid growing international calls for de-escalation.

Later in the day, India issued a clear warning: any future terror attack on Indian soil will be treated as an act of war, implying a severe military response under international law.

India also rebutted Pakistan’s claims of damage to Indian military facilities, releasing time-stamped images from bases including Adampur, Suratgarh, Sirsa, Nagrota, and Chandigarh — showing all critical infrastructure intact.
