The Fastrack Punjab Portal is expected to become a historic milestone in streamlining industrial facilitation in the state.
Chandigarh, June 10
In a strong reaffirmation of its commitment to industrial revival, the Punjab Government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has disbursed industrial incentives worth ₹180 crore in just the first two months of FY 2025–26, Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema announced today.
In a press statement, Cheema revealed that out of the ₹250 crore allocated for industry in this year’s budget, a remarkable 72% has already been released. “This early disbursal reflects the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government’s firm resolve to create a growth-oriented, investor-friendly ecosystem in Punjab,” he said.
Cheema added that the government is also channelling funds into developing industrial focal points across districts, laying the groundwork for regionally balanced growth. He credited this rapid progress to what he called the “Punjab Industrial Revolution”, propelled by the forward-looking leadership of CM Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal.
He further highlighted the launch of the Fastrack Punjab Portal as a transformative step, expected to become a historic milestone in streamlining industrial facilitation in the state.
Emphasising the dual goals of economic growth and employment generation, Cheema stated that the state is not only offering financial incentives but also undertaking bold administrative reforms to eliminate bottlenecks in establishing new enterprises. “There will be no shortage of funds to support and expand Punjab’s industrial landscape,” he asserted.
With this multi-pronged strategy—encompassing financial incentives, policy support, and governance reforms—the AAP government is poised to unlock Punjab’s vast industrial potential, paving the way for a prosperous and employment-rich future, Cheema concluded.
